Below is a collection of images pulled from the hundreds of photos I took over two years working in the field in Danamadji. I tried to put together a selection that captures the full breadth of what Guinea Worm eradication work actually looks like on the ground, from village level case verification and treatment of infected dogs, to staff trainings held across the country, to program planning meetings where we sat down together to map out what came next. Scattered throughout are also the quieter moments that never make it into program reports, of friends and colleagues simply sharing time together at the end of a long day in the field. All of these moments, when viewed together, remind me of the weight of what we were trying to do, the privilege of being trusted to do it, and the genuine joy I had doing it with the people beside me.
